Your permanent jewelry is a long-lasting investment, it is important to know how to properly care for it either it is 14K gold-filled or sterling silver. Since it cannot be taken off, here are some essential guidelines to follow:

Keep away from chemicals such as bleach, chlorine, and strong cleaning agents.

Perfumes and lotions: apply perfumes, lotions, and other skincare products carefully to avoid contact with your jewelry.

Beach and pools: avoid prolonged exposure to sea water, chlorinated pools and hot tubs.

Protect from impact: be mindful of physical activities that may expose your jewelry to impact, as this can cause scratches and damage.

Rinsing & cleaning: after activities like exercising and swimming, or after applying perfumes and lotions, give your jewelry a quick rinse with lukewarm water. Use your fingers to rub the jewelry and remove any residue. Pat dry with a soft cloth.

Polishing: gently wipe your jewelry daily with a soft, clean cloth to remove sweat, oils, and debris that can accumulate from everyday activities.

Deep cleaning: use a soft toothbrush (one reserved exclusively for your jewelry) to gently scrub the surface of your jewelry. Create a mixture of lukewarm water and a mild soap, and dip the toothbrush into it. Carefully clean your jewelry, paying attention to intricate areas. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry.

Cleaning timetable:

  • Sterling silver: every 1-2month
  • 14K gold-filled: once a week

While your permanent jewelry is designed for daily wear, its longevity depends on factors such as your lifestyle, skin chemistry, and proper care. Tarnishing is not indicative of low-quality materials (we exclusively use high-quality metals). Solid gold chains can also tarnish due to factors like sweat, lotions, perfumes, pH levels, and acidic sweat, influenced by factors like low iron levels or pregnancy.

Following these guidelines will help you enjoy your jewelry for years.
